NIN

Nine Inch Nails new Music video ONLY has got me listening to their music more, not only was the music in the video good but the part when the lead singer was singing out of the pixelated toy (not sure wat they are called) was very impressive.

Only is a good video, but now that I finally got some more NIN albums, I realized that With Teeth isn't that amazing. I'm still going to buy it(I haven't yet, I have too much to work on), but once I got Broken it was just like "....screw that" to With Teeth.

I tend to agree. I owned everything done by NIN until Trent disappeared for a few years, and I gotta say, the time off didn't improve his art. I loved Pretty Hate Machine as a dancy, angst filled ode to f***ed up relationships. I still enjoy the powerful anger of Broken, but these days tend to favor the hidden tracks at the end Physical and Suck (one of my all time NIN faves). The Downward Spiral was the pinnacle with all of its complexity and layers of sound. With Teeth is simply flat and shallow by comparison. Maybe I'll change my mind give it a more serious listen, but I doubt it.

Only is a cool song. Speaking of Trent Reznor, I just saw the movie on DVD, The Machinist, in which the main character, a skin and bones factory worker named Trevor Reznik (played by Christian Bale/Batman), starts losing his mind as he tries to escape his past mistake. Why do I bring up this film? C'mon, Trevor Reznik, dark and moody film, a loner who's out of his mind and depressed, everybody hates the guy, self-loathing? The writer had to be inspired by Trent Reznor and NIN.

Anybody else see it? It's a good film, just kinda boring at times, but has a really valid 'moral' in the end.

ONLY is a great song, along with Getting Smaller, Every Day is the Same, The Hand that Feeds, Right Where it Belongs and a few more. Best just to download one song to start off. (Download what you like, since some songs on the album aren't the best).

NIN has an incredible live tour concert, which is over by the way.
