The package is housed in a standard 2-piece plastic shroud that doubles as the exterior window on the box. This is pretty much standard operating procedure for PC stuff of this type. Thankfully, Verbatim didn't decide to use blister packaging and instead simply have the two pieces hold together by crimps in the plastic.
Removing the contents from the packaging reveals the drive, the USB cord, and a pair of paper booklets. One of them is the instruction manual for the drive and the other is the pamphlet for the MP3 offer noted on the front of the packaging.
